Peggy's Home Care History

 Peggy Heneks arrived in Carmel Valley in 1969 as a single mother. She was hired at the Highlands Inn in Carmel Highlands and then moved on to join the staff at Wills Fargo Restaurant in Carmel Valley. Peggy was a manager at Wills Fargo Restaurant for many years.
Peggy was approached by a local Carmel Valley resident and sought after to become her mother’s Personal Caregiver. After taking this new position Peggy had found a new aspect to the hospitality career. This was a calling that she had developed while working in the service industry. As being a natural Caregiver for her children and with her immense compassion for the elderly her skills became instinctual.
She was so passionate about this industry she became licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Peggy’s personal care giving services became highly desired in the community. She was unable to turn away clients wanting to help everyone she devoted her entire life day in and day out. Peggy started referring many of her friends with care giving experience to the clients she was unable to take on.
In the spring of 2009, Peggy decided to incorporate all her past experience with her passion for caring for the aging community and opened Peggy’s Home Care. She recruited her daughter Sadie Kvenild for her first employee, who also has over 5 years’ experience with caring for the elderly prior to opening Peggy's Home Care, as well as extensive management experience. Together they recruit, screen, educate, and train Personal Attendants. They carefully match personalities and skills sets when assigning them to clients throughout the Monterey Peninsula.​​
